MSBSHSE to Make Final Call
Maharashtra’s board of education is anticipated to make a judgement about the class 12 board examinations in the near future. According to sources, Maharashtra’s HSC test datasheet would be released this week. This is in contrast to the position stated previously by state school education minister Varsha Gaikwad.
Gaikwad previously said that the state would investigate the “non-examination path.” “‘. She said, “Our first goal must be the health and emotional well-being of children and their families.” Students and parents have expressed their fears about appearing for examinations in the midst of the epidemic.”
The Maharashtra administration, on the other hand, has been pressing for a standard choice for students across states in order to provide an equitable opportunity for college admissions to all children. Students apply for admission to institutions in India and overseas based on their HSC results.
The majority of states, as well as the central board — CBSE and CISCE — support physical examinations, as shown by a meeting between Union Minister of Education Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank and state education ministers and secretaries.
However, several states, notably the Chhattisgarh Board, have chosen a different path, opting for open book examinations. CBSE’s final decision is pending, although CBSE has recommended holding Class 12 board examinations between July 15 and August 26, with results anticipated in September.
Meanwhile, despite Maharashtra’s decision to cancel class 10 board examinations, a petition opposing the order has been filed in the Bombay High Court. A 15-year-old has filed an intervention plea against it, claiming that the Maharashtra SSC examinations should be cancelled in light of the epidemic.
Sarode, Rishan “Here, we are the victims. If they do the examinations, it will be very traumatic and distressing. We are not machines that can be turned on and off. Numerous youngsters have already begun their 11th grade lessons. I just want to suggest that the court listen to what we have to say.”
